Delivery during working hours
 
The single-ISBN package is delivered instantly during working hours on working days. The three-ISBN and ten-ISBN packages are delivered within one working hour. Delivery starts once your order and required book details are complete. Orders or details received outside working hours are handled when working hours resume.
 
How do I get a barcode for my book?
 
Start with the ISBN for the edition you are publishing. A book barcode is the scannable representation of that number; it does not replace the ISBN. Our packages include the corresponding barcode. Share your title, author name, publisher/imprint and format through the post-order questionnaire so the details match your publication.
 
If you already have an ISBN, contact us before ordering a new-number package. We can discuss what you need without assigning another number unnecessarily.

ISBN and barcode assistance should make your publishing details clearer. Provide your own publisher or imprint name exactly as you want it recorded, and use consistent title, author and format details when setting up retailer listings. Platform eligibility and metadata requirements still apply; an ISBN does not guarantee distribution or retailer acceptance.

How much does an ISBN package cost?
 
Our listed packages cost $39 for one ISBN and barcode, $109 for three, or $199 for ten. Choose according to the editions and titles you plan to publish.
 
Can my paperback and hardcover use one ISBN?
 
No. Different formats require separate ISBNs. A paperback and a hardcover are separate editions for identification purposes. Plan your formats before choosing a package.
 
Do I need an ISBN for a Kindle eBook?
 
KDP does not require an ISBN for a Kindle eBook. Requirements elsewhere may differ. A retail barcode is mainly relevant to a physical book; do not buy extra numbers or barcodes solely because you assume every digital edition requires them.
 
Is a free KDP ISBN an alternative?
 
KDP offers free ISBNs for eligible paperback and hardcover books, restricted to KDP and shown under “Independently published.” Your own ISBN allows your own imprint and use of the same edition outside KDP, subject to each platform’s requirements. Choose the route that fits your plans.
